Marisa & Daisy’s Little Wonder Lab
A Reggio-inspired studio practice for young children to explore, create, and investigate through hands-on inquiry.
Small-group studio experiences for children ages 2–6 in Berkeley.
A Studio for Thinking, Creating, and Inquiry
At Little Wonder Lab, we believe children are capable, curious thinkers who learn through relationships—with materials, ideas, environments, and one another.
Our studio practice is inspired by Reggio Emilia principles, where learning is co-constructed through exploration, observation, and meaningful engagement with thoughtfully prepared materials.
We slow down the learning experience so children can explore ideas deeply, revisit materials over time, and express their thinking in multiple ways.
Our Philosophy
“Where Growing Minds Explore Big Ideas”
What We Offer
Welcome to Marisa & Daisy's Little Wonder Lab– a STEM and art enrichment program inspired by children's natural curiosity and love of discovery.
Founded by two early childhood educators with backgrounds in Child Development, Little Wonder Lab combines hands-on STEM exploration with process-based art experiences designed to spark creativity, confidence, and joyful learning.
Inquiry-Based Exploration
Hands-on experimentation with open-ended materials and real-world concepts.
Creative Thinking
Art, building, storytelling, and collaborative problem-solving.
Small Group Studio
Intentional, guided experiences designed for deep engagement and connection.
What Children Experience
Children may:
build, construct, and deconstruct materials
explore early scientific concepts through play
engage in collaborative group inquiry
represent thinking through drawing, storytelling, and design
revisit ideas over time in different ways
No two sessions are exactly alike.
Our Learning Environments
Our studio experiences take place in thoughtfully prepared learning environments across Berkeley, including indoor community spaces and outdoor natural settings.
Each environment is intentionally transformed before children arrive through curated materials, defined inquiry zones, and structured studio flow.
What matters is not the location—but the quality of the learning experience created within it.
Small Group Studio Practice
We intentionally limit group sizes so each child has time, space, and support to fully engage in their thinking.
This allows us to:
observe and extend learning in real time
support meaningful peer interaction
slow down the pace of exploration
create documentation of learning over time
